<B>1888 G$1 MS66 PCGS.</B></I> In the final years of the gold dollar series, the denomination found new popularity as a target for love tokens. Proofs were used most often, but business strikes of the later dates, such as the 1888, were also employed. The 1888 is collectible in Mint State, but is scarce at the MS66 level. This original peach and lime piece is well struck and magnificently preserved.
