The NGC Census shows that this beautiful piece is tied with seven others for the finest-certified Cameo proof of the date. This service has only certified a single Ultra Cameo proof (at PR65), and they have graded just one non-cameo PR68 example. This is a splendid Superb Gem with traces of golden color on both sides, along with considerable Cameo contrast. The striking details are simply outstanding, even for a proof, and are noticeably better than usual on and just above Liberty's ear, as well as on the eagle's breast, wings, and talons.
