1887 2-coin City of London Commemorative Medals in original double Mint Box (EIMER #1732) This medal commemorates the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria 1837-1887. The obverse features a young portrait and a current portrait of the Queen conjoined, and the reverse shows Britannia standing in a car drawn by two lions and lead by Genius; with Justice and Prudence on either sides. 1 medal has been cleaned and has hairlines, the other medal looks to be original with a few darker spots. The box is together but in rough shape, but still a rare find to have any of these double coin boxes at all. Mintage of this medal was only 450!
