<B>1887 10C MS68 <img border='0' src='http://www.heritagecoins.com/images/star.gif' width=10 height=10> NGC.</B></I> This is a common date in an absolute sense, a fact that should come as no surprise if one considers the original mintage figure of 11.2 million pieces. At this grade level, however, the 1887 is unique at the major grading services, and the present Superb Gem is also the only 1887 dime that has been designated with a "Star" at NGC (1/07). Frosty-white in sheen, this undisturbed example does not reveal a single grade-limiting blemish. The overall striking definition is suitable, and the eye appeal is simply extraordinary.
