At this grade level, however, the 1887 is unique at the major grading services, and the present Superb Gem is also the only 1887 Dime that has been designated with a Star at NGC (8/06). Frosty-white in sheen, this undisturbed example does not reveal a single grade-limiting blemish. The overall striking definition is suitable, and the eye appeal is simply extraordinary.
