<B>1886-S $5 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> The San Francisco Mint struck no double eagles in this year--the only such gap from 1854 to 1911--but it made up for it with the mintage of more than 3.26 million half eagles, plus a considerable number of eagles. Because of indifferent shipping and storage near the time of production, PCGS has certified only seven coins in MS65, with none finer (7/07).
