Most all were released in the 19th century or melted in 1918, and few were ever saved or numismatic purposes." This attractive coin is superior in terms of strike and luster to most surviving Mint State examples. The surfaces are frosty and untoned, with radiant brilliance. Both the hair over the ear and the eagle's breast feathers are well detailed, if not full on an absolute basis. Moderate luster grazes on the reverse, with a miscellany of undistracting ticks, constitute the grade.
