<B>1886-O S$1 MS63 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: Ray George. A formerly unappreciated Morgan dollar, the 1886-O's rarity in higher Mint State grades became apparent after the 1950s, when the last few bags were paid out from the Treasury Department. Most of the abundant mintage was released into circulation, and many other examples were melted under terms of the Pittman Act of 1918. This brilliant example boasts good luster--putting it into the minority of Mint State pieces--with a few light surface grazes in the obverse fields and small ticks on the cheek that define the grade.
