<B>1886-O S$1 MS62 Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS.</B></I> David Bowers (1993) writes of the 1886-O dollar that "Semi-prooflike coins are scarce, and fully prooflike coins are rare." Indeed, fewer than 25 Deep Mirror Prooflike examples have been certified by PCGS and NGC. The coin in this lot displays noticeable field-motif contrast, and is essentially untoned. The design elements are well impressed, save for minor softness in the hair over Liberty's ear. Some unobtrusive handling marks are noted over each side.
