1886-Dated Booklet: “AN EPISTLE OF THE FIRST PRESIDENCY, TO THE Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in General Conference Assembled…” at the “Fifty-Sixth General Annual Conference,” Printed by the “Deseret News Company, Printers,” “Salt Lake City, Utah,” Very Fine. This 8.75” x 6”, 20-page Booklet contains remarks by John Taylor and George Q. Cannon, presented in March 1886, in Provo, Utah. This very rare, important Booklet has slightly toned, full intact and whole original cover, the interior pages are very clean.

John Taylor (1808-1887) was the Third President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1880 to 1887. George Quayle Cannon (1827-1901) was an early member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the LDS Church, and served in the First Presidency under four successive presidents of the church including: Brigham Young, John Taylor, Wilford Woodruff, and Lorenzo Snow. He was the Church's Chief Political Strategist, and was dubbed "The Mormon Premier" and "The Mormon Richelieu" by the press.
