1886 $20 AU55 PCGS. Only 1,000 pieces were struck of the 1886 and it is even more difficult to locate in overall rarity than the 1881 and 1885. Some 25-30 pieces are believed extant today in all grades with perhaps only 7-9 coins known in the various grades of Almost Uncirculated. As with the 1885, and all 1886 twenties we have seen, the fields show considerable reflectivity. There is a significant overlay of reddish patina over each side. There are the small abrasions one would expect from a coin that has seen five points of wear, but the only ones of note are located in the field in front of Liberty's nose, out from star 13, and above the second T in TWENTY on the reverse. An exceptionally rare coin and possibly Condition Census quality. Population: 4 in 55, 5 finer (11/06).
From The Kutasi Collection.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
