1886 1C Type Two MS65 Red and Brown NGC. The new hub introduced to the Indian Head cent in 1886 resulted in two distinct varieties for the year. Although not dramatically different, the varieties are easily distinguishable by the position of the last feather on Liberty's headdress, with this coin's Type Two status confirmed by the position of the feather between the CA in AMERICA. This is a red-bronze gem, solidly struck, and with a distinct lack of intrusive surface marks. Only five of these pieces have ever received an MS66 grade from either major service, regardless of designation, and this issue is unknown in MS67 (11/07). Housed in an older NGC holder.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
