<B>1885-S $10 MS63 NGC.</B></I> There are a large number of eagles and double eagles coined from the 1880s through the end of the Liberty series that are common dates, yet extremely rare at modest Mint State levels. The 1885-S is one of those coins, usually found between AU55 and MS62. In all grades, NGC has certified 592 examples of this date, including one VF and one MS64. More than 92% of the coins certified by NGC fall in the 55 to 62 grade range. Frosty luster and light abrasions accompany pleasing rose-gold color with a sharp strike.
