<B>1885-S $1 MS66 NGC.</B></I> <B>1885-S S$1 MS66 NGC.</B></I> This is a fully brilliant and sharply struck Gem example without any evidence of toning on either side. It has bright silver surfaces with frosty devices and satiny fields, creating an attractive cameo effect, despite not qualifying as prooflike. In spite of the numerous '85-S dollars in the Redfield Hoard, MS66 coins (by today's standards) were virtually non-existent.
