1885-O Morgan Silver Dollar NGC Graded Brilliant Uncirculated
United States Morgan Silver Dollar struck at the New Orleans Mint in 1885, featuring the "O" mintmark on the reverse. Graded Brilliant Uncirculated by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) and encapsulated in a secure holder labeled from the Olathe Dollar Hoard, originally distributed from U.S. Treasury bags. The obverse displays a left-facing portrait of Lady Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with a ribbon inscribed LIBERTY, flanked by two cotton blossoms and two wheat heads. The reverse depicts an eagle with outstretched wings clutching arrows and an olive branch, encircled by a laurel wreath. The inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and ONE DOLLAR. This coin is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper with a reeded edge and measures approximately 38.1mm in diameter. Certified and sealed by NGC. Slab: 2.25"L x 0.5"W x 3.25"H.
