<B>1885-Dated Abraham Lincoln Ornamental Tile</B></I> manufactured by the J.G. & J.F. Low Art Tile Works of Chelsea, Massachusetts, 4.5" x 6" in size and signed on the verso. This company was founded in 1878 by a father and son team and soon won a gold medal at a Stoke-on-Trent exhibition against the top British manufacturers. The tile features a head and shoulders portrait of Lincoln in a light green color. There is extensive crazing and a chip at the right edge. Another flaw at the bottom edge may be a manufacturing defect.
