<B>1885-86 North, Central, and South American Exposition New Orleans Medal MS65 NGC.</B></I> Bronze, 73.5 mm, 256.2 gm, rim 9 mm. Obverse wreath of corn, cotton, tobacco (?), wheat, and laurel surrounding central legend AWARDED BY / THE / NORTH CENTRAL / AND / SOUTH AMERICAN / EXPOSITION / 1885-86 / NEW ORLEANS. Reverse buffalo on mound, palm tree, four figures: woman wearing cross, Native American with spear and headdress, woman in gown with stick pointed at buffalo, second Native American with tomahawk, THE THREE AMERICAS in exergue. A lovely Gem, with prooflike milk-chocolate surfaces on both sides, a wonderful example of this oversized and extra-thick piece.
