<B>1885 50C PR66 Cameo NGC.</B></I> The 1885 is always a popular date with collectors, as are all the dates from the 1880s, because of the low total mintages from these years. In the case of the 1885 half, only 5,200 business strikes were produced plus another 930 proofs. This is an essentially brilliant proof that shows only the slightest hint of golden color over the denticles. Deeply mirrored in the fields with a significant amount of mint frost over the devices, thus the Cameo designation.
