<B>1885 50C MS66 PCGS.</B></I> The 1885 has one of the lowest business strike mintages in the Seated Half dollar series with only 5,200 pieces struck. As might be expected, Mint State coins are tough to come by, particularly in the better grades of Uncirculated. Glowing luster on this Premium Gem issues from well preserved surfaces that are visited by light golden-tan patina on the obverse, and deeper golden-brown, cobalt-blue, and lavender on the reverse. The observer sees relatively strong field-motif contrast when the piece is tilted under a light source, especially on the obverse.
