<B>1885 50C MS66 NGC.</B></I> One would think the Mint would have gone to the trouble to coin more than $2,600 face value in business strike half dollars in 1885, but they were apparently preoccupied with Morgan dollars, and didn't want the proof Seated silver coins of the time to become instant rarities. This piece is among the finest handful of survivors, with silver-gray and amber-gold obverse toning deepening to orange and russet on the reverse.
