<B>1884 S$1 PR64 Cameo NGC.</B></I> The 1884 Morgan dollar mintage included 875 proofs, a relatively large number of which have survived to the present day. NGC and PCGS have seen fewer than 70 pieces with a Cameo designation, including the current near-Gem example. A wisp or two of barely discernible light gold color encircles the rim areas, and strong motif-field contrast stands out on both sides. A sharp strike rounds out the pleasing eye appeal.
