<B>1884-O $1 MS67 NGC.</B></I> The New Orleans Mint produced only silver dollars in 1884, and 9.7 million coins flowed from the presses of the southern facility that year. Unfortunately, many of those pieces were softly defined on the central highpoints. Although a tad weak on the hair detail just above Liberty's ear, this untoned Superb Gem possesses nearly unsurpassable technical quality for the issue.
