1884 Carson City Morgan Silver Dollar Uncirculated
Uncirculated 1884 Morgan Silver Dollar struck at the Carson City Mint, encapsulated in its original hard plastic display case issued by the General Services Administration (GSA). The obverse displays a left-facing portrait of Lady Liberty, wearing a cap marked with the word LIBERTY. Surrounding her are two cotton bolls and two wheat heads, emblematic of the nation's agricultural identity. The legend E PLURIBUS UNUM is inscribed along the top rim, with the date 1884 positioned at the bottom. The reverse illustrates a heraldic eagle with extended wings, grasping a bundle of arrows and an olive branch, symbolizing strength and peace. A laurel wreath encircles the eagle, with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR surrounding the design. Above the eagle appears the motto IN GOD WE TRUST, and the CC mintmark below identifies the Carson City origin. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper, and remains sealed in a government-labeled case reading CARSON CITY and UNCIRCULATED SILVER DOLLAR. Box: 4.5"L x 0.5"W x 6.5"H. Slab: 3.5"L x 0.25"W x 5.5"H. Coin diameter: 38.1mm.
