Like most examples of this date, it is most likely the case that this coin came from the 1970s GSA sale of Carson City Morgan dollars, although it is uncommonly nice and far superior to most of the pieces from that source. The surfaces of this Superb Gem are frosty and highly lustrous with complete cartwheels on each side.
