<B>1884-CC $10 AU50 NGC.</B></I> While production of Carson City double eagles increased to near-record levels in 1884, a contrarily low output of eagles were issued. Survivors are often well circulated and show striking weakness over the central devices. This attractive, well defined example is tinged in reddish patina and retains considerable evidence of prooflike luster in the fields.
