1884 50C PR64 PCGS. It appears that a relatively large number of the 875 proof half dollars minted in 1884 were saved, especially through the PR63 level, based on PCGS/NGC population/census data. The near-Gem specimen in the current lot displays cobalt-blue, lavender, and golden-brown toning at the borders, and a faint coat of light gold in the centers. A well executed strike emboldens the design elements, and close inspection reveals no marks worthy of individual mention. Population: 61 in 64, 30 finer (4/07).
From The Utah Collection.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
