<B>1884 $2 1/2 MS62 PCGS.</B></I> This attractive quarter eagle, one of just 1,950 pieces coined, has bright luster and deeper coloration than many examples from surrounding issues. Orange-gold is the rule, and an area to the left of the eagle borders on cherry-red. Karl Stecher, Sr. purchased this piece for $6.00 from the Guttag Bros. of New York during the 1930s. Included is a Guttag Brothers kraft envelope with notes: "Unc. $6.00."
