<B>1884 1C One Cent, Judd-1721, Pollock-1929, R.5, PR65 NGC.</B></I> The first of three examples of this unusual annular pattern for the cent, struck in nickel. Apparently these patterns were well-preserved as the two major services have together certified 13 in PR65 with 23 finer (7/07). The fields on this piece are highly polished. There is a slightly depressed area surrounding the hole, most likely caused by the pressure of the punch that removed the center.
