<B>1884 $1 MS68 NGC.</B></I> The 1884 Morgan dollar, with its mintage of more than 14 million circulation strikes, is a common issue, with even Mint State coins plentiful. This becomes apparent after a perusal of the population figures. NGC and PCGS have certified about 19,000 examples in grades MS60 through MS65. Approximately 600 Premium Gems have been seen, and nearly 60 MS67s. In MS68, however, the services have graded just three examples (two NGC and one PCGS), and none finer (7/07).<BR> Dazzling luster adorns both sides of this beautiful MS68 coin, and whispers of tan-gold color concentrate at the rims, leaving the remaining surfaces color free. A well executed strike leaves its mark on all of the design features, and there are no marks worthy of mention. An inoffensive graze in the left obverse field and another in the left reverse field aid in identifying this particular coin.<BR><BR><B>Coin Engraver:</B> George T.
