<B>1883 T$1 PR65 Cameo PCGS.</B></I> A splendid Gem that has an unimprovable strike and outstanding white on black cameo contrast. Each side has a hint of gold patina, and a few miniscule freckles of charcoal patina are noted on the reverse. A small planchet flaw (as made) above the R in GRAINS will identify this coin for future catalogers. The bases of the letters in 420 GRAINS are slightly doubled.<BR> A relatively large number of 1883 Trade dollars out of the 979-piece mintage have survived, though Cameo specimens account for a small portion of the total population. About 20 Gems have been assigned the Cameo designation by PCGS and NGC.
