<B>1883 T$1 PR64 NGC.</B></I> With a proof-only mintage of just 979 pieces, the 1883 Trade dollar is the last collectible issue in this series, as the 1884 and 1885 issues (with just 10 pieces and five pieces minted respectively of each) are virtually unobtainable to the average collector. This lovely near-Gem displays slight cameo contrast, with frosted devices and lettering and nicely mirrored fields. A few faint hairlines are visible here and there after close inspection, typical for the assigned grade. Nearly brilliant, a touch of blue-gray toning clings to the rims along with faint hints of golden-brown patina.
