<B>1883-S S$1 MS63 PCGS.</B></I> The 1883-S carries semi-key status in the Morgan dollar series. David Bowers (2004) writes of this issue that: " ... the 1883-S is very difficult to find, especially at higher Mint State levels. Among 1883-S dollars, bagmarks are a significant problem. These must have been stored and handled roughly." Potent luster exudes from the untoned surfaces of the MS63 coin in the present lot. Relatively well struck, with partial definition in the hair at Liberty's ear and the eagle's breast feathers.
