1883-S $5 MS64 PCGS. This is one of the more underrated issues in the Liberty Head half eagle series. As the population data reveal, the date is at the very least scarce in all grades, and virtually unobtainable in the better grades of Mint State. The current near-Gem displays excellent luster and apricot-gold patination that takes on a slightly deeper shade around the margins. All of the design features are well executed. Minute contact marks on the cheek and neck limit the grade. Population: 2 in 64, 0 finer (10/06).

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
