<B>1883-S $10 MS63 PCGS.</B></I> Residing near the apex of the current third-party population, this Select Mint State example is the only coin so-graded at PCGS, with just one piece finer; NGC has seen three coins at MS63 but none any finer (4/07). This flashy gold eagle displays intense mint frost and lovely yellow-gold color. The striking detail is remarkably strong on each side of the piece, and only obverse star 13 reveals less-than-full definition. The number of surface marks for the grade is moderate, but none of the individual blemishes are severe.
