<B>1883 G$1 MS67 NGC.</B></I> Attractive brassy-gold surfaces on this Superb Gem yield partially prooflike fields that establish some contrast with mildly frosted motifs. A well executed strike brings out sharp definition on the design elements, and close examination reveals no mentionable marks. Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth (2006) mention that they often see copper stains and rim irregularities on examples of this issue. No such blemishes exist on this particular example.
