1883 Sons of the Revolution Badge. 14ct. Gold. Metal portion measuring 44mm x 30mm, Plus its Silk Ribbon, to fully about 78mm tall. About Uncirculated. Obverse design shows a Drop-wing eagle on oval medal depicting a Continental soldier, 13 stars on scalloped blue frame. Reverse design shows George Washington Bust right, with “SONS OF THE REVOLUTION - 1883” surrounding. Maker's name “Bailey, Banks & Biddle” and Member number 3882 upon the back side of the proud American Standing Eagle. The Eagle and gold jump ring attached to its original Gold-Blue-Gold, with the original Pinback fully intact, as made. Housed in its original blue and gold gilt printed “Bailey, Banks & Biddle” white silk lined (some pulls and tears to the inner box lined silk from the weight of this medal and light outer wear to the box) Presentation Box.
