<B>1883-CC S$1 MS67 Deep Mirror Prooflike NGC.</B></I> While always available for a price in lower grades, the problem with this date is the same as with all other Carson City dollars--plentiful bagmarks that prevent a high grade. This coin is nothing less than extraordinary, not only for a Carson City product, but Morgan dollars in general. The only reportable distinguishing feature on either side is a tiny planchet flake between the eagle's right wing and the wreath. The shimmering fields of unbroken mirrored reflectivity against the thick, unscathed mint frost on the devices create a breathtaking coin to behold. The cameo contrast could not be heavier with a profound white-on-black appearance between the fields and devices. Sure to interest Carson City collectors as well as DMPL specialists, both of whom will prize this piece for its singular beauty.
