1883-CC $10 MS61 NGC. Lightly marked with bright, prooflike fields and appealing, even, yellow-gold color. Most examples of this issue are either excessively abraded or show a poor strike. This piece is notable for its lack of marks and the clarity of its central details. There are only three known examples of the 1883-CC in Uncirculated and, in our opinion, it is very undervalued in Mint State. The only other piece to sell at auction in recent years was the Bowers and Merena 7/02: 639 coin (graded MS60 by PCGS) that brought $17,250. Of the 150-175 pieces known to exist, there are fewer than three dozen 1883-CC Eagles in About Uncirculated. In Uncirculated, we are aware of the following three pieces: 1. Bowers and Merena 7/02: 639 ($17,250); Ex: Heritage 10/95: 6419 ($9,350). Graded MS60 by PCGS. 2. This example; Ex: Midwestern Collection. Graded MS61 by NGC. 3. Northern California Collection; Ex: Stack's 10/94: 1331; James Stack Collection. Graded MS60 by PCGS. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
