<B>1883-CC $1 MS67 Prooflike PCGS.</B></I> The 1883-CC dollar, with a mintage of 1,204,000 coins, includes a large number of prooflike examples. Indeed, PCGS and NGC have seen close to 4,000 prooflike specimens! Prooflike 1883-CCs are obviously common, except in the lofty Superb Gem level of preservation. The two services have certified fewer than 10 MS67 Prooflike pieces, and none finer. Iridescent golden-brown, lavender, and cobalt-blue patina occupy the obverse of this Superb Gem, while the reverse remains mostly untoned. Exquisite strike definition heightens the coin's eye appeal, as do the impeccably preserved surfaces. Additionally, both sides yield considerable field-motif contrast.
