1883 25C Hawaii Quarter MS67 PCGS. Pale cherry-red peripheries cede to faintly toned centers. This exquisitely struck Superb Gem has an essentially pristine reverse, and the obverse is virtually as smooth since only the cheekbone and right obverse field show insignificant grazes. HAWAII and the King's mustache exhibit minute die doubling. The mintage of 500,000 pieces appears generous, but much of the production was melted after Hawaii became a U.S. Territory. The hapaha denomination has survived in Uncirculated grades in greater quantity than either the hapalua or akahai dala, but Superb Gems are undeniably rare. Population: 9 in 67, 0 finer (2/07).

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
