<B>1883 25C Hawaii Quarter MS66 PCGS.</B></I> Breen-8033. Repunched first 8. Mintage totals for the Hawaiian silver coins included 250,000 dimes, 500,000 quarters, 700,000 half dollars, and 500,000 dollars. From these totals must be subtracted the number of coins known to be redeemed and later melted, giving net distribution quantities of 249,921 dimes, 242,600 quarters, 87,755 half dollars, and 46,348 dollars. Although 1 million dollars were initially coined, only $175,867.60 remained outstanding. This example has splendid pale gold toning on the obverse with deeper gold and light blue on the reverse. It has a typical sharp strike for the issue.
