<B>1883<25C> Hawaii Quarter MS66 NGC.</B></I> In 1883, the San Francisco Mint produced a series of silver coinage for the Kingdom of Hawaii. The four principle denominations were the dime, quarter, half dollar, and dollar, although pattern eighth dollar coins were also minted. For the collector who only wants a single example of the Hawaiian coinage, the quarter dollar offered here is the ideal choice, as more of these have survived than any of the other denominations. This example is a fully struck Premium Gem with frosty silver luster and splashes of pale gold toning. Census: 48 in 66, 4 finer (9/06).
