<B>1882-S S$1 MS68 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: Jackson Hole. The superlative quality of this conditionally rare piece is evident at first glance, and close examination of the coin only confirms this initial impression. The design elements are beautifully rendered on both sides, with pinpoint sharpness evident down to the last detail. An arc of orange-tan color resides near the upper reverse periphery, but the surfaces are otherwise untoned. Under magnification, a few tiny nicks and grazes can be found, but these are of no real concern. Incidentally, all four digits in the date exhibit die lumps and possible doubling, without matching the diagnostics of any currently known VAM.
