1882-O S$1 MS66 PCGS. Readily obtainable in lower grades, the 1882-O (6 million pieces produced) has a PCGS-certified population of just 14 coins at the MS66 level. There are just four examples finer (10/02). The overall sharp definition is impressive for a survivor of this often indifferently produced issue. We note particularly praiseworthy detail over the central highpoints (the hair over Liberty's ear on the obverse and the eagle's breast feathers on the reverse). There are few abrasions, and those that are present are inconspicuous save for a shallow reeding mark in the obverse field at stars 3 and 4. Full, swirling luster overlays both sides of this brilliant-white Gem. There are a couple of russet colored swirls within the obverse denticles. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
