<B>1882-CC S$1 MS67 PCGS.</B></I> The 1882-CC Morgan, and the two subsequent Carson City issues, the 1883-CC and 1884-CC, constitute the most widely available silver dollars from that mint (David Bowers, 2005). The Superb Gem population of the 1882-CC is somewhat sparse, however, with PCGS and NGC having certified fewer than 90 examples. A splash or two of faint gold-tan patina gravitates to the obverse of this outstanding MS67 example, while the reverse remains color free. Partially prooflike fields offer sharp contrast with crisply struck design elements, and a couple of minor luster grazes do not betray the grade designation.
