1882-CC S$1 MS67 PCGS. Ex: Jackson Hole. Dollars from the Carson City Mint are seldom seen with smooth, unblemished surfaces. Those that were distributed in the western United States generally received rough handling, and bagmarks are prevalent. Most of the GSA dollars were similarly heavily marked, but a few dozen escaped with minimal abrasions. This is an extraordinarily smooth coin that has a clean cheek on Liberty and thick, frosted mint luster. Sharply struck and brilliant except for a few dashes of grease that were struck into the planchet at the time of manufacture--located at the top of the obverse. Population: 47 in 67, 1 finer (2/07).
From The Jackson Hole Collection.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
