<B>1882-CC $20 AU55 NGC.</B></I> As Rusty Goe points out in his splendid <I>The Mint on Carson Street, </B></I>double eagle coinage in Carson City falls into three time periods, with 1882 marking the beginning of the second period and the first coinage since 1879. Only 39,140 pieces were produced of the 1882-CC, and today the average survivor grades AU53 or so. This Choice AU example offers glorious radiant luster over moderately abraded yellow-gold surfaces.
