<B>1882 50C PR65 Deep Cameo PCGS. CAC.</B></I> A goodly number of the 1,100 proof half dollars struck in 1882 have survived the ravages of time. Even Cameos can be located with a little time and searching. Deep Cameos are another matter, however. Fewer than 20 pieces have been seen by PCGS and NGC. The current Gem displays fabulous field-motif contrast, and is exquisitely struck throughout. Wisps of speckled sky-blue and purple color pepper the fields, joined by dappled gold-tan on the reverse. Both sides are very nicely preserved for the numerical grade designation.
