<B>1882 $3 PR64 Cameo ANACS.</B></I> The entire production of proof three dollar gold pieces amounted to just 76 coins, struck at different times throughout the year. The initial output consisted of 25 coins minted in February. This near-Gem example has wonderfully contrasting fields and devices with the usual watery appearance associated with proof gold coins. A few tiny contact marks in the obverse fields keep it out of the Gem category. A thick lint mark at 5 o'clock on the obverse extends out from the border in the shape of a backward P.
