1882 1C MS66 Red PCGS. Eagle Eye Photo Seal. While more or less obtainable in lower Mint State grades, the 1882 is infrequently offered at the MS66 Red level (this despite an original mintage in excess of 38.5 million coins). In fact, our January 2003 sale of the Joseph P. Gorrell Collection of Flying Eagle and Indian Cents included a business strike 1882 that graded "only" MS65 Red at PCGS. This stellar representative is bursting with fulsome cherry-red luster. The strike is as close to full as one should expect for the type, and the surfaces are distraction-free save for a few microscopic flyspecks on the obverse. Population: 19 in 66 Red, only two are finer (1/03).From the Colburn Collection. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
